I know many of my followers are expecting a blog about cheeseburgers in the VI. I know because I promised. I intend to fulfill that promise. Oh, hey, did I spell cheeseburgrs right? I think I did. Anyway, I’m gonna label the island and restaurant, then I’m gonna give it a 1 to 10 review. Then I’ll give it a recommendation. Let’s see if my memory holds.
Tortola: The Dove: 10 out of 10. They topped it with a fried pickle! There is nothing to make this burger better. (The pumpkin bisque was awesome too. That was a special though.)Well that’s all I remember. (Just kidding)
Tortola: Village Cay Marina Restaurant: 7 out of 10.You could toast the bun and add less lettuce. It felt like it was slipping out of the bun. Also don’t use barbecue sauce because it ruins the flavor and texture.
S/V Widago: Widago: 10 out of 10. (It was my Mom’s turkey burger. But it’s still a burger in the VI.) There’s nothing I could do to make this burger better.
Well, that’s all I can remember right now. I’ll sleep on it and see if I remember more. Oh, and Uncle Tom if you’re reading this, you are the squirrel with the glasses.
this is classic! so glad to hear from you David, give your brothers and family a hug from me.
Keep up the good cheeseburger work
XOXO
Smart boy, David, to make your mom’s burger the best in the VI! You must have a smart Popeye David that taught you your mother’s burgers are ALWAYS the best! And don’t forget out on the high seas that Mother’s Day is on Sunday!!!! Mom’s love little boys that give them big hugs and kisses!
David, first you’re blogging cheeseburgers, then you’re not .. well, whatever, love the fried pickle on top of a burger, sounds yummy! Thanks for the fun .. xoxo, Gretchen.
Just keep those Mama’s burgers coming. And Mother’s Day hugs are a great idea. Give your mama one for me.
